Dark brown twice, once flat and once raised. The Trilo separates its panels by feel rather than by colour.
Dark brown painted calf and dark brown pebble grain share the upper, smooth beside textured. Orange calf leather lines the inside, which is the only warm note the shoe keeps. The sole is leather with rubber mountain injections for grip. It sits on the Monti last, ending in a slightly square toe. Each pair is handmade.
Loafers are laceless and easy to take on, appropriate at the weekend and correct in the office. A grained pair leans casual, and the square toe pulls it back the other way, which leaves this one comfortably in the middle. Plain trousers in almost any colour.
