Khaki and navy is a combination borrowed from tailoring, and the Shakspear puts it on a single monk where it has room to work.
Khaki lux suede takes one part of the upper and navy painted calf the other, so a warm, napped panel meets a cool, smooth one. Navy calf leather lines the inside. The sole is plain dark red leather, visible only from below. The shoe sits on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Handmade throughout.
A single monkstrap is comfortable and has become a staple because it attracts attention without asking for it, and a two-colour upper doubles that effect. It is a shoe for an outfit that is otherwise settled. Keep the trousers plain and let the shoe be the decision.
