Mina Single Monk in Nailhead Sartorial and Black

Nailhead is a pattern so fine it reads as a texture from any distance, and on the Mina it covers the part of the shoe that catches the light.

Nailhead sartorial shares the upper with black painted calf, cloth against smooth leather, both of them dark. Black calf leather lines the inside. The sole is plain dark red leather. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Each pair is handmade, so no two turn out the same.

The single monk's whole mechanism is a strap and a buckle, and monkstraps have become popular because that is comfortable and gets noticed at once. This is the formal end of the shape. Wear it where a plain black shoe would do the job but bore you.
