Navy and brown together is a tailor's combination rather than a shoemaker's, and the Honon puts it on a full brogue where the perforation crosses both.
Navy lux suede takes one part of the upper and dark brown painted calf the other, napped against smooth, with the brogue pattern running along the sides and across the toe cap of each. Brown calf leather lines the inside. The sole is leather with buttons rubber injections set into it. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Handmade throughout.
Every shoe closet has room for a full brogue, and this is the version that will not be mistaken for anyone else's. It is formal in shape and relaxed in colour. Grey trousers suit it best; anything with a pattern will not.
