Garanti Patina Moccasin in Cognac

The Garanti is a moccasin finished in cognac crust patina, and that finish is the entire reason to look at it twice.

The patina is the whole upper. Underneath is a cognac mixed leather-rubber sole, which puts grip under a shoe that would otherwise be entirely smooth. Each pair is handmade, so the patina lands differently on every one and no two come out the same.

A moccasin is the least demanding shoe there is: it goes on, it stays on, and it does not ask to be thought about again. A patina finish gives that ease something to look at, which is a rarer combination than it should be. It suits trousers that stop short of the shoe and it suits the ones that do not.
