From above the Cayuga is a plain burgundy loafer. From underneath it is forest green.
The upper is burgundy painted calf and nothing else, which is what makes the sole such a surprise: plain leather in forest green, hidden until the shoe leaves the ground. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade, so small differences between pairs come with the object rather than against it.
