Burnishing gives the Alto its depth. The dark brown sits deeper at the toe and the heel than across the middle, with cognac worked in beside it.
Burnished dark brown painted calf and cognac painted calf share the upper, two warm tones a shade apart. Brown calf leather lines the inside. Underneath is a plain cognac Goodyear leather sole. The shoe is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade.
