The Achak hides its best detail underneath. Above the welt it is a double monk closed by two straps; below it, the sole is red.
The upper pairs herringbone sartorial with dark brown box calf, so a woven pattern and a smooth leather split the shoe between them. The sole is plain red leather. The last is the Zurigo, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade, and small variations come with that.
Double monks are the modern turn on a formal shape, and this one takes the turn further than most. It is still a shoe that sits under tailoring; it just will not be mistaken for anyone else's. Keep the trousers plain, because the shoe is carrying two patterns already.
