Pebble grain twice, in two colours, on a shoe with nothing to fasten. The Tzu is a loafer that gets its whole character from surface.
Red pebble grain, black painted calf and black pebble grain divide the upper between textured and smooth. Red calf leather lines the inside. The sole is leather with mountain rubber injections worked into it for grip. It sits on the Monti last, whose slightly square toe firms up the outline. Each pair is handmade.
Loafers are laceless and easy to take on, appropriate at the weekend and in the office alike. A grained pair reads as more casual than a smooth one, which widens the range rather than narrowing it. Plain trousers, and the shoe does the rest.
