Two grains and a crepe sole. The Sioux is a single monk with no smooth surface anywhere on it, which is unusual for a shape this formal.
Black pebble grain and dark brown pebble grain divide the upper, textured against textured in two depths of dark. Orange calf leather lines the inside. The crepe sole underneath is soft and quiet, which changes how the shoe behaves more than how it looks. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Handmade.
One strap and a buckle is the whole mechanism, and monkstraps became a staple because that is comfortable and gets noticed. The grain and the crepe here push the shoe toward the casual half of the week. Wear it with heavier trousers.
