Cognac is the colour that keeps an oxford from being a formality, and the Saint is that shoe in a single unbroken shade.
The upper is cognac painted calf, with the closed lacing that makes an oxford an oxford. Orange calf leather lines the inside, a warmer note than the outside ever shows. The sole is leather carrying buttons rubber injections for grip. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade.
The oxford is elegant, classic and timeless, and dresses up or down without any fuss at all. A cognac one does the down half better than a black one ever will. Navy and grey trousers are its natural company.
