The Gavins is a derby, which means its quarters are sewn on top of the vamp and the lacing opens wider than an oxford's ever will. Underneath, the sole is forest green.
Med brown painted calf and med brown painted full grain share the upper, the same shade in two weights of surface. Tan calf leather lines the inside. The sole is plain forrest green leather, which nobody sees until the shoe is off the ground. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade.
