One brogue panel on the Franko starts at the toecap and does not stop until it reaches the heel. That single unbroken wing is what separates a longwing blucher from the full brogue it otherwise resembles.
Three materials share the upper: houndstooth sartorial, black box calf and dark brown box calf, so the perforation pattern reads differently depending on which panel it crosses. A running sole is fitted underneath. The shoe is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. These are handmade, which means no two pairs come back exactly alike.
A longwing blucher is one of the few shoes that carries a formal occasion in the morning and an ordinary office day after it. The mixed upper here pushes it gently toward the second use. Wear it with flannel or worsted trousers; anything too sharp starts to fight the cloth panel instead of setting it off.
