Dark brown, punched along the sides and across the toe cap, and built to be walked in. The Bourdin is a full brogue without the ceremony.
The upper is dark brown painted calf throughout, a single material carrying the whole wingtip pattern. Brown calf leather lines the inside. A running sole is fitted below, which is the decision that makes the shoe as practical as it is. It sits on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Handmade.
Every shoe closet has room for a full brogue, and a dark brown one on a running sole is the version you will actually reach for. It covers an office, a long walk, and most of what happens in between. Grey or navy trousers, nothing fussy.
