The upper puts tweed sartorial next to dark brown painted calf, a cloth panel and a leather one sharing the same shoe. Underneath is a plain brown leather sole. The last is the Zurigo, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Each pair is handmade, so no two come out identical.
Single monks have become a staple for a reason: they are comfortable, they are quick, and they read dressier than they behave. The cloth panel here pulls the shoe toward autumn and toward tailoring with some texture in it. Wear it where a plain black shoe would be too severe.
