Three browns and three finishes. The Biyen keeps to one colour family and lets texture do all the separating.
Med brown box calf, dark brown painted calf and med brown pebble grain divide the upper between smooth, painted and grained. Navy calf leather lines the inside, the only cool note anywhere on the shoe. A plain brown leather sole runs underneath. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade.
Loafers are laceless and easy to take on, correct at the weekend and correct in the office, and a shoe this consistent in colour goes with almost everything already owned. Comfort and style is the whole point of the shape. Wear it with anything brown does not fight.
