Med brown box calf, dark brown lux suede, camel lux suede and dark brown painted calf divide the upper between smooth and napped in shades that shift as the shoe turns. Orange calf leather lines the inside. The commando sole is what makes it wearable on ground a thinner bottom would refuse. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look.
Loafers are laceless and easy to take on, correct at the weekend and correct in the office, and this one adds ground the others would not attempt. Each pair is handmade. Keep the trousers plain, because the shoe already has four things going on.
