5930 Double Monk in Burnished Cognac Calf
Burnishing puts the depth into the 5930: the cognac sits darker at the toe and the heel than it does across the instep.
The upper is burnished cognac Italian calf leather, with two straps crossing it and nothing else on the surface. Tan calf leather lines the inside. The sole is an orange mixed leather-rubber one, which adds grip and keeps the warm colour running under the shoe. It is built on the Zurigo last, rounded at the toe for the traditional English look. Every pair is handmade.
The double monk is the modern turn on a classic, elegant shape, and in one burnished colour it becomes the most useful version of that. It goes under tailoring and it goes with trousers alone. Grey and navy both suit it.
